APATHY; PUBLIC ENEMY #1
We are supposed to be a government of the people, by the people and for the people. We’re not. We are supposed to be a democracy; the essence of which is that the majority rules. It doesn’t. Case in point; four California Supreme Court Justices trampled all over the majority of the citizens of that state, overriding their votes to have marriage limited to a union of one man to one woman. These Judges created a brand new “right” out of whole cloth and made the decision that homosexual marriages will be made legal in California. So much for democracy. So much for the Constitutions of both the U.S. and the state of California. This is not an isolated incident. All over the country liberal judges turn the constitution and the wishes of the people upside down. Why is this happening? Because we the people are allowing it. Judges and politicians work for us. But we seem to have lost sight of that fact. They do as they please ignoring the fact that according to poll after poll, the majority of Americans are against homosexual marriage, pornography, rampant abortion, pedophilia, and a whole host of other aberrant behaviors. But the majority is ignored and the country is being governed according to the wishes of a handful of secular activist groups, many of them atheist. Again, why is this happening? Because the activist are absolutely dedicated to their causes while far too many of the majority complain amongst themselves but never say a word or initiate an action to correct an objectionable situation. In other words we are lazy! Apathetic. We expect government to fix things for us. That’s not going to happen. Government is a huge part of the problem. Politicians to a large degree have way too much power and too little common sense. They have their own agenda and we aren’t part of it. I don’t know what it is going to take before the citizenry of our country is going to stand up and say “enough is enough” and demand responsibility from judges, elected officials and out of control activist groups. The pastorate could help, but most of them don’t. (won’t). Nary a word issues forth from most pulpits. So if we care about our country, if we cherish our freedoms, we need to stand up, speak up and demand that moral sanity be returned to the offices and benches of The United States of America before we pass the point of no return and our Country, as we’ve known it, is forever lost.
